Even a good doctor needs a good patient

Finding a good doctor is difficult, we all agree, which is why many resort to other figures because traumatized by past experiences.
And 'in fact common to think that doctors in general are especially able to do many tests, scaring to death the patient and, when it comes to finding therapeutic strategies, invariably resort to the usual drugs, anxiolytics for anxiety, hypnotics for insomnia, anti-inflammatories and cortisone for the pain in general until you get to the opiate, and so on.
People who see this as a limit attegggiamento are no longer willing to go to the doctors and this is a bit of a drama, ranging from the therapist, osteopath and naturopath, usually nurses or non-graduates in medicine: among them some are really competent and serious, while others have a medical background and experience is absolutely insufficient to assess some pathological situations in their entirety.
Often it is the latter category to show safety and infallibility, flaunting diagnosis absolutely certain about the origin of the disorder.
Al le of all, though, one thing is certain: it is important for the patient to find a good doctor or therapist, just as it is for the doctor to find a good patient. And, I must really say, it is not obvious.
A good patient is one who does not turn left and right by different specialists for various ailments but he takes one step at a time, reporting and asking for advice on whether to go to other utilities. Although it is impossible to be experts in everything, the medicine should address all of the districts, from the skin to the intestine, shoulder ... that we should treat the subject in its entirety.
There are many, many indeed, patients who think "the shoulder stretch dall'agopuntore and colitis by the gastroenterologist," or that a disorder is caused by one thing and another another, it does not believe there is no connection, nor a way to talk to who's just taking care of the shoulder.
A patient must first be what the name says: the patient and the doctor certainly should be!
It often happens however that the patient decides to end his treatment without waiting for the doctor to tell him, maybe it used to doctors that if they take advantage, or perhaps for the common and usual hurry or maybe because he wants to manage his time and his decisions. What commonly happens today is that the patient achieved a fair improvement over 50%, it considers sufficient.
Working with acupuncture and herbal medicine is to change that imbalance, as can be seen in the case of a scale, it remains so until it is removed completely, otherwise, more or less rapidly, there will be the so-called relapse.
A good patient is not waiting twenty years to treat a condition stating, after the first five treatments, to be disappointed at the lack of that that efficacy, line or in part, reports that he still felt on your body.
It takes at least a year of continuous therapy and two years of intermittent therapy in total to think of a true cure for this disorder for over twenty years and if you say you care in three sessions will take around. A good patient does not need treatment as if he went to the beautician, unless it has already made a path and it is continuing. I have patients with recurrent headaches that come to me only at the time of crisis, and these can also enjoy an improvement of the disturbance variable, but not painful enough, and, most importantly, it resolves.
And I would add that, while ego is very satisfying for the doctor to have brilliant results and fast, almost miraculous, for the patient is much better to have slower and less dramatic results.
It can happen that the disharmony of the bottom is in fact more serious and deeper than the surface disorder and the symptoms can then improve, even entirely, while the cause remains hidden, waiting for the right time, namely the suspension of therapy, then perhaps re-emerge after one or two years with another disorder apparently totally different in nature but often more serious.
The therapeutic possibilities of acupuncture are not only analgesic or pain reliever, as many think, but can work on different background inharmonies present at the root of many physical and emotional disorders.
Today, after years of experience, if the patient improves quickly and decide to stay ahead of time, unless it is an acute disorder related simply and without clinical history and most raggione if it is a serious disorder, I urge you to think of it and to assess the importance of continued, albeit less insistent and more diluted, to work deeply on his health in general.
The best patient is one who, though cured of symptoms in a complete and satisfactory, supervises the entire body-mind and maybe he decided to work on the root of the disturbance and maintain the results with regular treatments.
The real patient should feel a real part of her healing journey, participating in the creation of what has always been called "therapeutic alliance" and found with her doctor the different strategies and interventions that may also involve other professionals with a work deep to 360 degrees.
It 'true prevention, which is so much talk but little practical
