Swine flu: vaccine during pregnancy?

In Italy there are more and more gynecologists do not recommend that the vaccination or those who simply do not oppose directly and say, "Ma'am, we do if she wants to do." It is the sound principle that a pregnant woman unless you tap and better, and this applies to drugs, Drugstore or natural substances and is also true for vaccinations.
The fact that the influenza A day like today, it is more dangerous than a normal flu is emerging from different surveys, while the much-vaunted safety of the vaccine as well tolerated does not appear to have been of great experimentation and especially the presence now certain aduivanti as the so-called squalene on which was written and documented the possible alteration of the immune system, certainly not in any way make free from risks.
Pregnancy is considered an immunological paradox, which to date has not yet been fully understood how it can be modulated immune response against embryonic tissue to avoid rejection of the fetus, it is said that the immune system "is aware "that the fetus and placenta are.
The immune system creates a complicated and delicate balance "tolerogenic" but, unlike what you might think, not reduces its ability to defend women against infections or malignancies. Contrary to the uterus during pregnancy significantly increased the Natural Killer cells (UNK) and to a lesser extent the T cell phone
The natural killer body are a source of innate natural protection, they monitor and eliminate self cells that can transform and mutate into cancer cells and infected with viruses or bacteria, to protect and defend their action is complex and not yet fully clarified. In the field of oncology and immunology are the NK cells that are mostly studied and still pose many questions about their mysterious workings.
Their alteration seems to be the basis of autoimmune diseases in which cells are attacked and their lack of self monitoring seems to be the basis of cancer. The fact that during pregnancy increases the presence of these cells is a source of study and scientific interest.
Believing that the pregnant woman is more susceptible to infections and viral infections in general does not seem supported by scientific evidence. The system inmmunitario suit but is not at all weakened. This does not mean you are pregnant you can not reach out to cancer or infectious course, but in these special cases, the tumors are still considered as rare occurrences.
Moreover, the presence of recurrent vaginitis and cystitis should be considered primarily as an expression of a stagnation of urine in the bladder and poor bowel function, both resulting from the compression due to the increasing size of the uterus and not a poor immune response . For this reason it is essential to proper nutrition can not alter the intestinal flora already sorely tested, and enhancing its natural antifungal action and antidisbiotica.
In short, the pregnancy is not a disease, medicalized too can become a hazard which can increasingly removed from the natural human capacity to protect itself and combat diseases, becoming a race increasingly weak.

Meanwhile Madam compliments the term is now at hand, vaccination requires at least three weeks before producing an immunization or a sufficient amount of antibodies significantly, but part of its immunization can still pass through breast-feeding, the issue is complex but it discuss calmly with her gynecologist.

I state that no gynecologist, immunological, but a doctor specializing in physical medicine and Chinese medicine and acupuncture, Sig ra Katie, I understand his dilemma and his dismay at the seemingly superficial answer her gynecologist, the situation is complex, it is clear that that there is a push by leaders in health administration and coordination to make the flu vaccine not only to those with real risk of infection in general (ie patients with diseases that make vulnerable health with a simple flu infection), but also to a wide group of people, including so-called healthy, medical and healthcare personnel, soldiers, military, members of the public service, pregnant women, children above 6 years old. Because the disease is still spreading fast with significantly reduced risk compared with normal seasonal flu, but who do not know in depth the long-term implications of the vaccine on the immune system, and that it is easy at this time take the first influenza A they were immunized by the vaccine, or perhaps they have done without knowing it, it seems safe to come be a doubt about the meaning of the vaccine but I am afraid that is not possible to have a simple answer to your question, I call upon you to review and update as much as possible by accredited sources and serenely to reach a decision as possible in harmony with his personal feelings.

Hello. They are at the 13th week of pregnancy and yesterday I got the OK from my gynecologist to make the vaccine antinfluenza A. The request for information and concerns about the risks and the dangers of the vaccine, the doctor replied that the higher the risk of a very high fever caused by influenza A note, which fever may cause fetal harm, and there are no antiviral drugs compatible with pregnancy.
E 'possible? I am very doubtful, are at a crossroads do not know if the vaccine or not.

I also have the 21 weeks that I do not know what to do. the gynecologist and the doctor advised me to do it but I'm afraid. For now I avoid going out and I decided not to take home to school, even bringing my little girl of three years. Avoid possible contact with the outside world will keep us safe?

Dear Lord, the confusion is legitimate, in the meantime if you can tranquilizzare the vaccine has potential side effects, mainly dependent on the mother. Come to the fetus from the mother's antibodies and who has made the vaccine is having contracted the disease. The fever has never been a real danger, of course if too high you abasssa like any other disease. Avoid crowded places and people very sick at school and then if there is a real epidemic certainly better to wait to pass. But it seems too close to home. The point is that you can not anticipate everything, there is a degree of insecurity in all, technology is advancing but is unable to change this reality, but this is also the beauty of life. Try to enjoy this pregnancy as serenely as possible this is really important
